        A spokesman for Houston's family confirmed the news, saying: "Unfortunately, it is true."

. h& D3 d" i: X, U2 n3 jPolice spokesman Mark Rosen told reporters Houston was found dead at 15:55 pm (23:55 GMT) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where she was staying as a guest.

      The cause of her death remains unclear but police said there were "no obvious signs of criminal intent".

Whitney did not cherish her gifted voice and good luck in real life.  Not a true loss to society. Opportunities should be given to those who deserve it.
