The name 悉尼 has been used as the official name for Sydney for at least six to seven years now, when pronounced in Mandare in, it's a much closer translation of Sydney compare to 雪梨 . Just like the name Beijing instead of Peking for 北京 in English. However, in a Chinese restaurants, if you try to order a Beijing Duck, the waiter wouldn't know what you are trying to order though. 公仔箱論壇5 k0 s+ q8 y# s) n6 s a& K: u

5 \+ _4 j+ k; r1 [7 nThe first one is either from the Sydney Botanic Garden or at the Hyde Park, they are both very nice spots to relax and have a leisurely sunbake during the lunch break for many Sydneysiders.
* T" c4 g, E: D, cThen there is the famous Sydney Opera House taken from the western side.. u2 x( B" a8 D) @4 P' h
Followed by two photos of the snow fields at Perisher Valley, not much snow yet, give it another 4 to 5 weeks, then it would be right into the skiing season.
/ F, j8 n% F, p公仔箱論壇Then there are the Bondi Beach, if you venture to the eastern side, well, there you will find a lot of women sunbaking topless; no fuss, as men do it all the time.
, @, M3 W/ Q6 N+ R; q- W公仔箱論壇Then we are heading north toward central coast up, about an hour and a half drive from Sydney, we get to the a place call The Entrance, a really nice spot, the ranger feed the Pelicans twice a day, quite an interesting sight. Great fish and chips shops, cafes, and restaurants. Nice fishing spot too.
" l0 L0 @9 R7 N4 @% m/ E4 _Here we are back to Sydney at the St Andrew's Cathedral, an Anglican church next to the Sydney townhall.
0 k; `8 y( I( d% G* W QThe last one is specially for the shopaholics. The renovated Queen Victoria Building, there used to be an up market Chinese restaurant inside, but it's now turned into another shop. A very nice shopping arcade.- o! ]! f6 |0 J
