九齡公主性格開朗善良，冰雪聰明，對醫術甚有興趣，卻因為宮廷叛變，父皇遭受陷害，含冤而死。九齡公主負傷昏迷在牢獄，幸得青梅竹馬好朋友君蓁蓁捨身相救，讓自己葬身一場牢獄大火，既保住了九齡公主的性命，亦令策動場陰謀者以為九齡公主已在大火中身亡。甦醒後的九齡公主，得知君蓁蓁為她而死，雖然十分傷心，都決定隱姓埋名，並易容以君蓁蓁的身分活著，休養生息，鑽研醫術，開設醫館來濟世救人，同時亦繼續追查當日陰謀背後所藏著的真相，伺機復仇，手刃仇人。而在感情世界中，陷入了成國公世子朱瓚、清貴公子寧雲釧和前未婚夫陸雲旗的愛情漩渦裡…
