Wenger wants Brady to stick around - 28 Oct 2007
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger would like to see Liam Brady stay on as Head of Youth Development at the club, instead of taking over as Republic of Ireland boss.
Brady has recently suggested that he would interested in the vacant position should it be offered to him from the FAI (Football Association of Ireland).
But Wenger knows that he would be losing a good football man if Brady were to move on.
"I would see that as a loss because he started to produce players now and we have the stability at youth level as well," revealed Wenger.
"I like to speak to Liam about football because he has a good assessment of players, and a very fair one. He does not get carried away.
"He sees a similar football to my football. I don't know whether it will happen or not. I hope it will not happen." |
