more important to minimize heat signature than radar reflection for ground vehicle.
RAH-66 is abandoned just because the "radar invisibility" is not that important for chopper near ground. (and it's too expensive for a "recon" chopper)
US army uses those remain budget to improve current platform (AH-64D, MH-60 and drones) |
