勾選“Let me install this experimental add-on”（1），然后就可以按下方的“安裝到Firefox”（2）按鈕來進行安裝。
●Create Profile 按下〔Create Profile〕新增一個“全新”的Profile，這是一個沒有安裝擴充套件，也沒有書籤或歷史紀錄的profile。 你可以點選“Choose location”（1）選擇新的profile的儲存位置。勾選“Install this extension to the new profile”（2），如此一來，新的profile也有Profile Manager and Synchronizer讓你使用。
●Duplicate profile 〔Duplicate profile〕可以複製目前設定檔，包括擴充套件、書籤、瀏覽記錄等等，都“複製”到新的Profile中。這邊也有一個“Choose location”（1）按鈕，可以指定複製設定檔資料夾存放位置。
●Edit profile name/path 在〔Edit profile name/path〕中，可以更改Profile的名稱（1），最實用的是，它也可以改變Profile的路徑。改變Profile路徑可以讓你指定這個profile去載入一個新的設定檔資料夾，比如載入你隨身碟上的Profile資料夾。
你可以在Firefox的右下角，看到Profile Manager and Synchronizer小圖示（上圖）。 在小圖示上，按滑鼠右鍵，即可以打開選項，直接切換、開啟Profile。另一個profile以新的瀏覽器視窗開啟，而正在使用的profile視窗，仍舊可以繼續使用。如此一來，你就可以同時打開多個網絡服務的賬戶了。
用滑鼠指向某個連結，按滑鼠右鍵，可以看到多了一個“Open Link in New Profile”的選項，方便你以另一個profile打開網頁。

Firefox瀏覽器允許每個人的設定檔擁有個別的profile，或建立新的profile。而且這些profile有自己的書籤、瀏覽器設定、密碼紀錄等等，互不相干。
Firefox用戶可以在【開始】→【執行】，輸入“firefox─profile manager”，叫出Firefox的profile管理員，建立新的profile，或選擇要使用哪一個profile。
不過，筆者今天介紹一個讓firefox的多使用者賬號更加方便的套件──“Profile Manager and Synchronizer 0.2.0”。
Profile Manager and Synchronizer原本是Firefox多使用者設定檔功能的延伸，新增許多更方便的功能。
安裝之后，可以讓你快速打開和切換兩個以上的設定檔，以及新增、備分你的profile。你還可以修改profile的儲存位置，以后就不怕firefox的個人設定檔因重裝系統而遺失。
由于每個profile擁有個別資料夾，因此可以同時開啟同一網站服務的多個賬戶，例如打開多個Gmail賬戶。
（1），然后就可以按下方的“安裝到Firefox”（2）按鈕來進行安裝。
安裝完畢，到firefox的Tools→Add-on，點擊Profile Manager and Synchronizer的Option進入設定畫面，如下圖。
在左邊選擇一個設定檔profile，然后再選擇右邊的管理功能，來做相關設定。這些各種管理功能包括：
●Set as default profile：選擇開啟firefox預設的Profile。
●Load profile：打開新的瀏覽器視窗再載入現有的Profile（使用中的Profile不會被關閉，同時共用）。
●Create Profile：新增Profile。
●Edit profile name/path：更改profile的名稱與路徑。
●Delete profile：刪除profile。
●Duplicate profile：複製Profile。
●Open profile folder：打開有關profile的資料夾。
●Install to all profiles：把Profile Manager and Synchronizer擴充套件，安裝到所有Profile（無論你打開哪一個設定檔，都能使用這個套件）。
